Practical Checklist

This checklist is designed to help companies prepare for and complete the self-assessment effectively. For larger organisations, it is recommended to begin this process at least 1–2 weeks in advance to allow ample time to assemble the appropriate team and collect the necessary data.

Designate a lead contact to complete the assessment on behalf of your company.

This person will be responsible for coordinating with relevant teams to gather the necessary information, completing the assessment online, and sharing results within the company.

Identify key team members to support the process.

The tool covers a wide range of company policies and practices related to human resources management, training and professional development, corporate governance, internal and external communications, sustainability reporting, public relations, and procurement. You may need input from colleagues across these functions.

Prepare for the assessment.

Prior to starting the assessment, download the questions and share it with your assessment team. Begin collecting relevant data and reports needed to complete the assessment.

Complete the assessment online.

Use the information gathered by the assessment team to complete the online assessment. Your answers will be saved automatically, and you can return at any time to continue or revise your answers.

Review your results.

The Non-discrimination and Equality Analysis Tool platform will generate a downloadable results document, including, your company's responses to all questions, an overall score, and progress across key non-discrimination and equality dimensions. We encourage you to review results as a team to discuss strengths,  opportunities for improvement, and to develop a targeted action plan.

Access tailored resources.

The tool will direct you to relevant resources designed to support your next steps in strengthening your approach to workplace non-discrimination and equality.

Revisit the tool to track your progress.

Return to the tool periodically to reassess your performance, monitor improvements, and continue building a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
